ExGlo Foundation
It is common knowledge that in most communities of the North and Central regions, schools lack the basic necessities to provide quality education for the children. Some children hardly get access to exercise books, school uniforms, bags and even shoes for school.
In a spirit of giving and teaching how to fish, ExGlo Foundation once again stepped out into the regions. This time around, the beneficiaries were the Tamale Girls Senior High School in the Northern Region & Srafa D/A Basic School/community, in the Central Region.
A nation who does not invest in their young ones isn't worth dying for they say; in lieu with this adage, ExGlo Foundation, a non-governmental organization in Ghana has been at the forefront of championing charity initiatives as well as educative and well-meaning programmes to help not only the young ones but people in need and support, across various spheres.
Senior lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Dr. Patience Aseweh Abor has been honored for her contribution to rural development in Ghana through her ExGlo Foundation.
These skills trainings in the selected schools were based solely on helping students develop income generating or entrepreneurial skills to enable them to attain some level of financial independence and economic empowerment.
